Bringg raises another $ 30 million to expand the delivery logistics platform. Bringg, a delivery orchestration platform, has announced a funding round led by Viola Growth, which aims to help companies keep pace with rapidly growing delivery expectations. The latest round brings Bringg's financing a total of $ 83.3 million, which enables rapid global market expansion for both large and small to medium-sized companies. Bringg recently launched BringgNow, a last-mile delivery management service for SMEs, and released it early to help companies that meet increased demand for delivery services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Bringg offers the BringgNow service for free.
Magento Commerce introduces AI-driven product recommendations. Product recommendations powered by Adobe Sensei, an artificial intelligence and machine learning technology, are now available to Magento Commerce resellers. Magento retailers can now distribute automated and intelligent product recommendations across their stores, helping consumers discover relevant products throughout their shopping journey.
SEMrush offers free access during the pandemic. SEMrush, the SaaS search engine platform, has announced that it will provide free access to several tools to support marketers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The company will offer its social media Marketing Toolkit and Oppty to new and existing users at no extra cost. Toolkit allows users to monitor their competition and schedule posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google My Business, as well as edit images in the interface. Oppty is a prospecting service to gain qualified business management across industries and locations throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.
WP Engine Summit / 2020 goes digital with free registration. WP Engine, WordPress host, announced registration is open for its fifth annual summit. Due to Covid-19, WP Engine has reconfigured the developer and marketer conference as a digital event, which will still take place on June 10. Registration for the new virtual format is free.
Pinterest adds new ways to shop. Pinterest has announced new ways to shop from pins, on boards, from search and through new searchable recommendations. When Pinners visit their home decor or fashion board, they now see a Tab Shop that displays products from or inspired by the pins on the board. A new Shop tab will also appear in the search, making it easy to shop for products from a range of retailers, with price and brand filters. Users can now click "shop like" directly from the pins. And when searching for specific terms, users will see a searchable style guide. Pinterest also recently launched one Verified merchant program.
USPS tests Informed delivery function. The US Postal Service tests a new feature for informed delivery that lets users know when their mail has been delivered. Informed delivery allows users to get digital previews of their incoming mail and manage their packages from smartphones, tablets and other devices. During the test, users receive e-mail messages within 30 minutes of delivery of letter and plate size. Package delivery messages are not affected by the test. USPS began testing informed delivery for approximately 90 days in select zip codes in California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Virginia and Washington, DC. Customers at these sites are invited to participate in the test and are asked to conduct feedback surveys.
Adobe reveals the Digital Economy Index. Adobe has revealed the Digital Economy Index, a real-time digital economy barometer, which analyzes trillions of online transactions over SKU 100 million in 18 categories, from 80 of the 100 US online retailers. Powered by Adobe Analytics and based on a new "digital consumer basket" that measures sales of online goods and services, results from the Adobe Digital Economy Index include a 20 percent increase in digital purchasing power since 2014. Sales in some categories, including groceries, cold medicines , fitness equipment and computers, have risen as a result of Covid-19. Buy online, pick up shopping in the store has increased by 62 percent.
AWS announces public access to Amazon Detective. Amazon Web Services has announced the public availability of Amazon Detective, a new service for customers to make faster and more efficient security issues investigations into their AWS workloads. Amazon Detective automatically collects log data from customer resources and uses machine learning, statistical analysis and graph theory to build interactive visualizations that help analyze, investigate, and quickly identify the root cause of potential security issues or suspicious activities. No extra cost or commitment is required in advance.
Avalara announces the risk assessment tool. Avalara, the provider of cloud-based tax automation automation, has announced the availability of its assessment of sales tax risk, an online self-service tool that allows companies to quickly detect states where their sales activity has likely triggered sales tax liability and determine which states should be closely monitored.
