Here is a list of product releases and end-of-May updates from companies offering online retailer services. There are updates on social commerce, financial products for merchants, self-service ad platforms, Amazon sales and quick-start trading services.

Facebook introduces Facebook stores. The new Facebook stores allow companies to create a free store on both Facebook and Instagram. Companies can choose the products they want from their catalog and then customize the look and feel of their store with a cover image and accent colors. Facebook also works with partners such as Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, ChannelAdvisor, Cedcommerce, Cafe24, Tienda Nube and Feedonomics. Consumers can find Facebook stores on a company's Facebook page or Instagram profile or discover them through stories or ads.

Shopify announces Shopify balance and Shop Pay installments. At Reunite, its virtual conference, Shopify announced several new products for retailers. Shopify Balance provides an account for paying bills and tracking cash flow, a card for accessing money online or from an ATM, and a cashback reward system and discounts on everyday business expenses such as shipping and marketing. Shop Pay Payments, Shopify's new "buy now, pay later" service allows merchants to offer customers the opportunity to divide purchases into four equal payments, interest-free. Shopify has also started rolling out a new local delivery product for merchants around the world.

Criteo launches self-service platform for retail media. Criteo, a retargeting advertising service, has announced the launch of its first to marketed, self-serve retail platform. Now retailers can drive incremental revenue by providing tools that make it easy for brands and agencies to manage retail campaigns while retaining control of the shopper experience. In addition, retailers and brands using the platform can deliver consent-based, personalized advertising without relying on third-party cookies. The new platform allows retailers to run their vendor marketing programs, leverage different types of budgets such as search and national media, and allow a variety of creative and targeting features. The Criteo media platform for retail is available to customers in the US and Canada.

WooCommerce introduces payments to help merchants. WooCommerce, the WordPress-based e-commerce platform, has announced the availability of WooCommerce payments, a system to let buyers pay directly with big cards and help merchants manage fees, deposits and disputes. The service is free to add without installation fees. Prices start at 2.9 percent plus $ 0.30 per transaction.

FedEx and Microsoft announce collaboration. FedEx and Microsoft have announced a new multi-year partnership by combining FedEx's global digital and logistics networks with Microsoft's intelligent cloud. FedEx Surround, the first service from the collaboration, enables all companies to improve visibility in their supply chain by utilizing data to provide near-real-time analytics in delivery tracking. FedEx Surround can also collect multiple data points collected through the enhanced scanning and FedEx proprietary Internet-of-things technology and analyze them with Microsoft's artificial intelligence, machine learning and analytics services.

Amazon's Fulfillment Expands New Selection Program. Fulfillment of Amazon's new selection program offers free storage, free removal and free return processing for a limited time for qualified news for FBA articles. All eligible Amazon Standard Identification Numbers (ASINs) qualify for free monthly storage for the first 50 devices shipped to Amazon fulfillment centers for 90 days after the first device is received. In selected product categories, FBA will waive return processing fees for up to 50 units of each ASIN that customers return to the fulfillment center within 120 days of the first stock date received.

Salesforce launches Quick Start Commerce Solutions. Salesforce has launched four packages of services to help companies quickly adapt and operate under Covid-19. The tools for Quick Start Commerce Solutions include "Quick Start for Direct-to-Consumer Commerce", "Quick Start for Curbside and Store Pickup," "Quick Start for B2B Commerce" and "Quick Start for Grocery and Quick Service." Participating companies receive a trading toolkit that helps create and operate a website and place orders. The program also offers partner-managed services to run everything during the first three months.

TrueCommerce upgrades Pack & Ship. TrueCommerce, a trading platform, has announced an update of TrueCommerce Pack & Ship, a web-based service that offers multi-channel retailers the opportunity to send "whichever way you want". Pack & Ship, an extension of the TrueCommerce Foundry platform, allows suppliers and retailers to pack more precisely, find the lowest shipping prices, analyze real-time fulfillment and more.

Net at Work and Pixafy announce erpCommerce for Magento Commerce and Sage X3. Net at Work, a technology and business consulting firm, and Pixafy, an Adobe partner, have released erpCommerce, enabling organizations using the Sage X3 enterprise-grade enterprise platform to integrate with Magento Commerce and launch a website within 60 days. The ErpCommerce service combines a business management system with e-commerce (Magento Commerce) via a cloud-based integration platform (Boomi, from Dell), enabling merchants and partners in the Sage and Magento ecosystems to quickly track B2B and B2C implementations.

OroCommerce launches free e-commerce training for B2B leaders. OroCommerce, a B2B e-commerce platform, has announced a new online education program. Participants will use a practical engineering environment to explore the OroCommerce platform in real time and receive expert advice to help them distribute B2B features and adapt the platform to their needs. Two leading Oro developers will lead the courses. Participants can ask questions and get guidance on the usual B2B pain points. The entire training program is free as part of Oro's commitment to supporting global B2B brands, manufacturers, distributors and suppliers during a time of economic turbulence. Recordings of the sessions will be available for viewing on request through August 31.
